Definitions: 4 R Principle (Reduction, Reuse, Recycle, Recovery)

Waste Reduction: Application of this item, which can be defined as reduction at source or preventing waste formation is difficult for industry branches. It is not possible to reduce the wastes arising from process and to prevent their formation unless the industry branch changes its production method. However, wastes can be minimized as long as processes are analyzed well. If sufficient effort is exerted for this issue, which has a wide scope, its fruits are reaped by the companies in long term.

Reuse: Using of materials having become waste again in line with purpose of production without losing their own properties. This method, which can easily be applied in domestic wastes, is also difficult to apply in industry. Especially packaging materials contaminated with oil, chemicals…etc should be sent to licensed companies. Reuse of these kinds of wastes is not in compliance with the waste regulation in force.

C: Economic conditions becoming more and more severe during recent years increase the need for raw material. The industry’s gaining speed and urbanization rapidly increase the amount of waste formed. These wastes bear great importance in terms of environmental and human health. Wastes not managed appropriately cause severe damage to both the nature and economy.  Therefore, all wastes should be recovered as much as possible after their feasibility is carried out. Recovery refers to rendering a waste material non-waste and making it useable again through a physical or chemical method without losing its properties and altering its usage. Our company conducts studies within its body for recovery of especially some industry wastes having become hazardous wastes. These wastes are rendered non-hazardous and regained by the national economy.

Recycling: This method, which is often confused with the concept of recovery, is a process where a new product is obtained from a material that has gained waste property by way of a physical or chemical method. Breaking and melting plastic bottles; and then using them in different industries is the most commonly used recycling method. After the collected waste material within our company is sorted according to their types, they are sent to licensed companies that perform recycling.

Disposal:
This is the process during which, the waste materials whose recovery and recycling is not possible or which were processed with different methods (burning, treatment, vs..) are sent to areas that are determined by local administration and kept in constant supervision and stored for an undetermined period of time in a way that doesn’t affect the well-being of community and environmental.

Recovery of Hazardous Waste
The recovery of waste materials, which are coded as 12 01 20 and 17 04 10 in the Regulation on Controlling Hazardous Waste, is performed efficiently at mechanical car park within our company, without damaging the environment and human health.

Storage System with a Container 
In order to help the companies in creating a waste storage area in accordance with the provisions of regulations and especially to help them store greasy iron chips, we provide service with our 2 different sized containers (8,5 m3 and 15 m3) which are leak-proof and contain grease storage tanks at their bottoms. The waste material that is stored in these equipments, which prevent leakage and spilling to the area and ground, are transported to our facilities with the vehicles of our company that have license to transport hazardous waste. The waste that is accepted into our facility is processed in recovery unit and then they are dispatched to iron and steel plants or iron casters.
